• I live in Cambridge. I work on real-time embedded software.

• I have one wife and no children (statement nicked from Gareth).

• My LiveJournal: Weblogs are the new black. A LiveJournal is a diary, a soapbox and a way to meet interesting friends of friends. Most of my writing on the Internet is done there these days. (If you know me and have a LiveJournal account, let me know: there's more there than the part which shows above the waterline).

• I used to be an evangelical Christian, and I'm now an atheist. Read all about it in my Losing My Religion essay. You might also want to look at other things I have written about religion.

• LiveWires: LiveWires is a Christian holiday camp on which 12-15 year olds do various electronics, multimedia and computing activities for a week every summer. Back when I was a Christian, I helped to produce a beginners' programming course for LiveWires which uses Python. The course is available to the public on the LiveWires site.

• Found a text mode (rather than graphical) MUD client I like, sort of souped up version of telnet with line editing and scrollback, which is about all you need. It's called Crystal.

• News sources: Bloglines is a web based aggregator for RSS news feeds from a variety of sites. You can see my my feeds, and learn that I read Slashdot. Surprise.

• Python: Python is a clean, object-oriented scripting and rapid development language. I aid Python's accession to world domination wherever I can. It's nice. Learn it now.

• The Land of Drogon is a small, friendly MUD. It has some nice people on it and interesting puzzles to solve. Why not join in?
